Quetzales in love 25th of January 2015 and some Christmas cards....

Today's request was a picture of a Quetzal...asking for the sendero los Quetzales Boquete side..but on that trail you will see more and easier Quetzales when it is later in February. I do send a lot of guests of Tinamou cottage http://coffeeadventures.net/tinamou.htmlto the Waterfall trail (or old name ..the pipeline trail)They are always happy after .
This trail was my birdspot 10 years ago...now there are more people on the trail and I never reach the edge of the cloud forest, where the chance to see Quetzales is better. I was also 10 years ago always slow, because the first part of the trail is (still )birdy. We did see a lot of birds the first 2 hours and after (for me a lot) of hiking...we did reach the forest ...the trail is beautiful...compliments for the owners of this trail. And so yes there were the Quetzales... and more birds..I still think that I have better birding spots...but it was enjoyable to be on "my" old trail again...
