And so this morning we did go to the Palo Seco reserve area, continental divide...what a difference with last time...the birds were hiding...it was sunny...they prefer like last time clouds and wet!And there were quit a bit of Hawks around,,,
For example... a very nice adult ornate Hawk Eagle : (click on the picture to see better...siluet on the left)
And an orange bellied Trogon , hiding:
And my dear Husband was there too!!!
chased by two Bat Falcons, a double toothed Kite flew over , that was very need! No picture of movie , I just enjoyed it with my Binoculars!
After that we did go into Bocas del Toro area, of course later in the day...we did check out Willy Mazu.. that area is getting so sad, the house and the grounds are looking sad..as we know this place from the glory time when Wilberto Martinez was still alive and kicking. (big birdwatcher, family still own the place)
We did walked around a bit (the surroundings are still very beautiful of course)...did see this bronze tailed Plumeleteer
And a nice white breasted Wood Wren who was singing very soft in a brush.
And a big group of sulphur winged Parakeets
But after a half an hour we decided to check out the ANAM station(park ranger), which is going to be very nice and clean now.
After a herb tea at Isabel restaurant we decided to go home.. on our way nearby Gualaca this nice Amazon Kingfisher
Cannot hesitate a picture of these birds, they are so stunning and easy to take pictures of.

What is the Continental Divide?
The Continental Divide in the Americas is the line that divides the flow of water between the Pacific Ocean and Atlantic Ocean. Rain or snow that drains on the east side of the Continental Divide flows toward the Atlantic Ocean while precipitation on the west side drains and flows toward the Pacific Ocean. (However, some rivers empty into the desert and don't end up in the oceans.) The continental divide runs from northwestern Canada along the crest of the Rocky Mountains to New Mexico. Then, it follows the crest of Mexico's Sierra Madre Occidental. In South America, the Continental Divide lies along the Andes.Every continent except for Antarctica has a continental divide.
