Already when I try to email people..I do see out of the office window a pair of yellow green Vireo's who are all the time angry. Really so angry that they attacked yesterday a rufous and white Wren, who has a nest in front of the window ( see blog http://terryboquetebirdstory.blogspot.com/2016/05/still-some-migration-birds-on-farm-1th.html ).
Together with a female angry thick billed Euphonia who has the nest on the other site.
The rufous and white Wren was on the ground and on the Wren was the Euphonia and two yellow green Vireos.
Wauw..The Wren survived and did return in the nest. The Euphonia's and yellow green Vireo's...they accept each other..also the couple of Blue gray Tanagers and a clay colored Thrush , who have a nest close by..they are o.k. with every one. They all stole also nest material from the nest of the rufous and white Wren.
On the other side of our house is a nest of yellow green Vireo's who are just doing their work and do not bother with the war on the other side...so peacefull.
These 2 immatures are 4 days old. The other nest only one immature, maybe that is the reason why the parents are more agressive.. this little one is almost ready to go:
While I was taking the pictures... the Euphonia was checking me out...
Here you can see the situation of the "war zone", pink = clay colored Thrush nest, red = yellow green Vireo nest, blue = blue gray Tanager nest, green = rufous and white Wren nest, white = thick billed Euphonia nest
