Seedeater and gray crowned Yellowthroat day 28th of August 2013

This morning I did go to an area, nearby, where a Costa Rica owner of the property wanted to make a project with houses, long time ago. Did not go on . I did go with my horse a lot, but it was only mono culture , so only grass and some weeds, nice for my horse, not for the birds...
a Year ago the owner decided to spray everything with Herbicide and so I did not go anymore. Yesterday I thought...let check it out and great surprise...it was grass, weeds, seed, some scattered trees...well and a lot of birds. This morning a did go early on my own for a couple of hours, it was great!
I had a great conversation with the owner  of a very nice coffee farm next door, did show him what I did see yesterday and today, he was so surprised. Himself is a nature lover , so that was also great to know.

Today a slow day with the birds,  did start with cloudy and  had to escape for the rain. Did manage to find a dry spot. The birds were hiding , as they suppose to do in this time of year.
