14th of August 2017 today cloud forest

Today I had some time, everything was ready at home for the new guests and they told us that they arrive in the late evening. And so on my way in the early morning  to the 1800 m , checking out some birds.

Sun was shining. Some clouds , some wind, but that  was o.k.

First it was slow, but after 1 hour  it warmed up and yes I did see nice birds around me. Still a lot of immatures , normal for the time of the year. Also like last week a nice migrant a Louisiana Waterthrush and "wauw" very early two black and white Warblers (both females).:

So the migrants are on their way, I will keep my eyes open.

Until now the score of the migrants for this season...

12/8 and 14/8 a Louisiana Watertrush both 1800 m altitude but in different areas:

6/8 and 12/8   2 western Wood-Pewees  900 m and 1 on  1800 m (on the 1800 m I did not have a good view, dark rainy weather...it was a Pewee and in this time you will have more chance to see a western Wood-Pewee, the easterns are mostly later.

The pictures of the black and white Warbler and Louisiana Waterthrush are kind of blurry , because it was dark and they moved a lot

This picture of the western Wood- Pewee  was taken 6th of August 2017:

The short video above is from a family flame throated Warblers , this morning, 1 adult and 2 immatures , very recently fledged. So cute to see and so hard to follow them.... what an energie!

Down below the list of today.
