Bird trip 31th of January 2012

Today it was needed to visit 3 different spots...Sun  bajareque (drizzel) high up in the mountains and again sun...of course spots out of the wind...
Summer winds are normal for the time of the year. Fortunately on our farm we are out of the wind, that is great , because birds don't like wind.
Also thanks to the curves and hills  in the mountains there are also higher up nice places out of the wind....
The fruit for the Thrushes, long tailed silky Flycatchers and Quetzales are ripe and so they are there....wind or no wind, they have to eat!
Picture of a long tailed silky Flycatcher in the wind and Bajareque.(did a pretty a heavy zoom with my little camera....)

Bird watching with one eye?!

Went with two English girls for a bird watching trip(for them their first birding trip ever)...around 10 am little thing..dust or so...flew in my eye.
We tried to wash it out , but did not work.
Tried to see the birds with one eye, we saw fortunately nice birds, but after that , when the English Girls went on the bus, fast to my home , tried to wash it out...
Did not work...freaking out a bit...to the docter and she did found a very tiny little thing... 2 different eye drops, no pain, swollen eye  and relieved. In 3 days I will be O.K. again and see the birds with two eyes.
