Month of November 2018...almost to the end
Hello everybody,
before December starts...a post about my bird adventures in November...
The Summer did start a couple of days ago..means wind from north, drizzel (Bajareque) sometimes it blows into our farm, rainbows, party's in town...nice and quiet and a lot of birds on our farm.
The Hummingbirds are very active and this morning on our balcony, a cute magenta throated Hummingbird female was taking spider cobs for her nest.
Snowy bellied and rufous tailed Hummingbirds are catching insects in the sky (proteine for laying eggs and feeding young) and the lesser violet Ear they are singing their song high up in the trees.
The coffee berries starts to ripen, picked already quite a bit. Will be a big work, because this year there is a lot!
The migrant birds are plenty in the farm, some are fighting over their new territory. Weird is that I did not see any Philadelpia Vireos.(Last year also not much during the season...) Red eyed vireos yes...
The rice fields are great at this moment, loads of birds.
Over there I did see new birds for me... orchard Orioles:
I am so ... 😎😄😃
Up to December!
Greetings from Terry

Almost every morning I check the birds around the horse stable, the meadow and forest edge are fab to see the birds. I have to wait for my old horse , he is slow with eating his new food...but I always enjoy that moment, give me a chance to check out the birds and be with my horses and 2 doggies.
Did go out with Hans to some new areas and the good old wetlands nearby the town David at the end of a shopping day.
we do see the Peregrine Falcon often there
On this picture a roseated Spoonbill, snowy Egret, great Egret and a Woodstork The rice fields are great at this moment, loads of birds.

Did have quit a bit of bird trips with great people...beginners birdwatchers, advanced birdwatchers, birdwatchers with huge cameras.
Two of them, thank you France and Jack, did send me pictures.
I have the permission to share them in this blog...cool!
In Caldera we did see 2 Bat Falcons having a fight, hard to say if it was male and female "love" fight or another issue... between females or males.
Males are smaller then females, but you have to see them next to each other for a correct ID.
Very nice pictures
Last week I did go with Jack and his wife Elaine to the David wetlands. The first 2 hours it was rainy, but it was good that we did go there, because it was rain the whole day in the mountains. We got a reward, the sun came and Jack took some great pics with good light.
We did see further away 2 Coyotes, that was cool too!
And the bird of the day were two nice yellow billed Cuckoos
Up to December!
