I was totally "on" , that is what Hans my husband always says...
"On" is that I am sharp and totally focused on the birds around me. I have that also when I have a lot of birding trips like last week. Then my husband cannot find the "off" button...even in the night I can hear then the Owls and Nighthawks...sometimes kind of over the top...I know...
But it was handy for the 4th of May...after that day I did turn off my bird botton...👀for 1 day. And after that I am "normal" again.
Totally excited though, when I did see the results of the 4th of May. A lot of "Panama bird people" did participate again ...Panama did end on the 8th place ..above USA and Costa Rica.
So important to show people that Panama is really an important bird country and that we have to protect it!
In the meantime we have also a new president in Panama (per 1th of July 2019), his name is Laurentino Cortizo and fingers crossed that he and the new government is care full with protection of nature in Panama.
And so this list was the result of my 4th of May bird day. I did start the day in the mist on the continental divide but when I did drive a bit I did got some sun and it did become a good day.
Birding in the silence in the mist has something special though...this black thighed Grosbeak was singing in the mist...
And after a 2 minutes slow drive, the mist was gone and I did see this white crowned Parrot very clear:
Some "not birds"....
I need still to find the name of this beautiful Lizard:
And most of the time ..there is the two-toed Sloth is present
Until next time,
greetings from Terry
