1th of April 2012

Half a day birding trip and birding  in the afternoon with my dogs....
First rain since  a while, the weather is changing...the first ant swarm.. and a very beautiful  scarlet Tanager in the cloud forest(1650 m)...chased away by a beautiful rosy breasted Grosbeak.
I took a picture..good enough to put it here....

Really everywhere Swainson's Thrushes and yesterday the first  song of one of them...today again.
Since a week the common Potoo around our house, doing his mysterious song and the gray necked Wood rails are crazy..
