We had the luxery to drive somewhat in the refuge and did meet the park ranger and he did show us the trail head, we did not go in these mangroves for a long time.
Wow a lot of insects..but well.. great for Prothonotary Warblers, they are on the move, we did see quite a bit of them..
Of course we did see the mangrove Warbler, that is a bird I don't see often of course...me as a highland birder...
Aii I did hear 2 birds that I did not know the sound of, did not see them either in that dence area... we will go back soon!!!
We were there all alone... kept our eyes very allert..snake time..October..did see some lizards, but no snakes.
Then after the Mangrove part we went to the ranger station and checked out some beach birds...
