Terry's Boquete Bird stories: and the wet season did start a bit

Hello all!
Finally I do have some time to write a new post. Worked hard .. and WOW what was it warm..yes also in the mountains. Finally we did have some showers and the nature is getting green and lush..dust is out of the air . Birds are singing and busy with the displays and nest materials.
Here first rain pictures of a happy white winged Tanager :

Yesterday I did see the first immature clay colored Thrush on the 1800 meters, there we did have (not much) rain..but enough to start with nesting. Here on the farm(1250 meters) I do see the first clay colored Thrushes dragging with nest material and some are sitting on the nest since a couple of days.

Did see immatures of American Dipper.. 1800 meters, the same couple are using for the second time their nest ...I did see that yesterday. Here their first immature, week ago!

I did go through my pictures from the last weeks and these are the results of my "best" pictures...well I am not the greatest picture taking birdwatcher, I rather see them first good through my binoculars.

His female is on the nest in the palm tree...well he has to protect!

3 wattled Bellbirds are active:

These males yellow crowned Euphonias did have after this meeting a fight:

the material of the nest of a crested Oropendula that I did found, is re used

by lesser Elaenias(also by clay colored Thrush not on picture):

and red legged Honey creepers:

A couple of thick billed Euphonias are checking the nest for maybe to make a nest in it...

Migration....

I am always looking forward to March and April. We did have a great Hawk migration...but unfortunately the Warbler migration was not good. I did barely see Warblers while migration suppose in full swing....

Talked about it with other birdwatchers and also checked ebird... also slowon different elevations.

Did see a lot of scarlet Tanagers this year, yes and also some groups of eastern Kingbirds last week, loads of Swainson's Thrushes and Barn Swallows...plenty.

But the Warblers, what is going on?(also higher up in the mountains where it was a bit wetter... not too much Warblers) Also during coffee picking season mostly we are surrounding with mixed flocks of Warblers and this year also not!

It was warm and dry...maybe that is it?

I will follow this with mixed feelings
