new bird on the farm..white lined Tanager and a nice outing to the pacific coast 2th of October 2015

Summer did start, suddenly pretty warm weather, the Hummingbirds are going crazy, sometimes you feel the urge to dive down with your head to avoid that a Hummer get smashed against your head.
A new bird did show up in our garden , a male white lined Tanager, he was pretty shy, when I wanted to take a picture , he flew.
I did see him 3 x, so he is around.
So yesterday I did update our farm list..3 new birds in a very short time..American Kestrel, long tailed silky Flycatchers and the white lined Tanager..jee!

In the morning I checked a part of the forest , did start with a nice Wilson's Warbler in a coffee tree in front of our house:

I think that the Blue crowned Motmot's are ready to make a nest, I find them(a pair) a lot in our forest along the bank of a creek:
And this snowy bellied Hummingbird was following me and checking me out:
After that I cleaned  our house and at around 2pm we drove to the pacific coast, a place where we did go before , but then it was high tide. At that point I did see already a lot of birds. It is a river delta surounded by mangroves. In 1 hour and 15 minutes we were there...in the heat... still 38 Celcius..but that went down after 3.45pm..but when we did left it was still 31 C(6.15pm)
Very nice was the brush full with Prothonotary Warblers, I did count 15 in that brush: a could not take a picture, but I do have a little proof.. I did point them with black markings (click on the picture, better view):
I did started with this one Prothonotary Warbler:

They are so pretty!!
This one bare throated tiger Heron was showing off too!
And a nice solitairy Sandpiper in beautiful light::

a couple of Southern Lapwings and northern Jacana:
This southern Lapwing was in front of me, I did not zoom in... their eyes are so beautiful and  so is the bird:
Very nice place, don't go on holidays and weekends, because then the Panamanians are going to the beach, it will be packed....
And so that was a great day!
