love is in the air.....

Hello everybody!
Well we are moving to the March month, it is noticeable.
On the farm... the clay colored Trushes are starting to sing (and fight over their territory). This morning the first song of the Cocoa Woodcreeper. Tropical screech Owls and little Tinamous are showing themselves more and are more vocal.
The yellow green Vireo's are singing and I do see now pairs of lance tailed Manakins in the forest:

The orange billed Nightingale Thrushes are starting to sing....
And also the flame colored Tanagers are pretty active....

Last week (16 February 2017) I did encounter in the river Caldera a couple of American Dippers making a nest....
Also took a video, see my last post.
And that same beautiful morning higher up in the mountains , did see a couple of nests of the long tailed silky Flycatchers. I took this picture of this occupied nest....

Yesterday I did go out birding with a very nice couple of  Dutch birders and as we sit in the car, we did see this lovely couple of yellow headed Caracara's . The lady got a present (food)  from the man.
In the beak of the Caracara on the left, you can see the present.(click on the picture) While I was grabbing my other camera, the gift was given... took a picture after....

Gosh ..so nice that we are allow to see those love moments💓

Down below a list of yesterday, at this moment the Army Ant swarms are really active in the farm and so yesterday I had to bring some things in the great Tinamou cottage    http://coffeeadventures.net/Great_Tinamou_Cottage.html  and yes a big Ant swarm and yes birds all over. Did not have a lot of time, but I did run  to get my camera, took some pictures and yes the first 4 pictures of this post I took from the birds from of the bedroom window.
Summer greetings from Terry
