20th of August 2015 some bird news of the last days

Wow it was a busy last week. Today the last guest checked out
(  http://coffeeadventures.net/tinamou.html )  ...time to clean our house, work in the garden and some birdwatching of course.
I managed to do some bird watching in between our work, down loaded my list on e bird. ( http://ebird.org/content/ebird/  )

This week our Tulip tree finally blooms. We planted the tree around the 10 years ago. Last year we had some flowers, but not a lot...this year!! beautiful...and what is nice , since a long time we have a small group of crimson backed Tanagers in our garden , yes!

The last 3 nights we have a bunch of tropical screech Owls making a lot of noice...probably a issue about territory.

This counts also for the blue crowned Motmots, yesterday I did see 5 flying behind eachother in the forest, beautiful sight.

Still a nest with immatures of the orange billed nightingale Thrush next to our house.

I did see on 2 places a rufous tailed Hummingbird collecting nest material...we have a almost rainless , sunny (non)wet season. A lot of flowers, so plenty of food , why not making more Hummingbirds!

Yesterday 2 young clay colored Thrushes were a kind of (trying out) singing in the tree.

A few days ago 2 immatures buff throated Saltators flew out the nest.

And since  4 days ago we have big groups of yellow green Vireo's coming through(transients)... it feels like January Summer in Panama .

A family of yellow headed Caracara's are very loud, 2 immatures getting fed by the parents..what a noise they make...

Everyday a huge group of blue headed Parrots eating their stomach full in our coffee farm, lot of fruit in the trees and of course ...the white faced Capuchin Monkeys, Olingo's and Kinkajous are very happy too!

We are irrigating the pastures for the horses, this morning I did count 14!! clay colored Trushes in the pasture..looking for worms. This picture was taken from the other site of the valley looking to our farm.

I am looking forward to have some more time for the birds!
Now we are going into the time of migration!!!!
