busy start of 2018

Hello everyone!
What a busy start  of the new year we have! With great guests and nice birding outings.
Hard work but rewarding!
A rainy start too, but on our farm it was o.k.. and I did not have to cancel any birding trip , there is most of the time somewhere a dry spot... although yesterday it was my wettest day ever and "cold".
But the guests had to go to Bocas del Toro...so we did our best to find dry birding spots. We did see some nice birds! On the continental divide(Bocas del Toro)  was my slowest bird time in the 20 years ever! Mist, rain cold... the birds were hiding , I would do that too when I was a bird....
So after checking the area out and drink a warm cup of tea and coffee, we moved on...
Lot of rain, some dry spots.
We did see a very wet three toed Sloth and a Crocodile, so that was great.

We did pass by "my" sweet female Veraguas Mango in Caldera...she is now official breeding.
This was at 7.15 am
This on my way back home 6.26 pm
The wetlands in Bocas del Toro are now really WET...
and I am always excited to see some royal Terns...
and a neotropical Cormorant of course
After a cloudy rainy day I drove home and got this present...
And so my list of the day of yesterday (5th of January2018) you will find down below.
I love to birdwatch on different spots in different areas.

Today of course I have to work, but this morning I had a long sleep(6.30 am out of my bed ...yes yes...) and a long coffee drink on the balcony with my husband Hans. And enjoying the morning sun and staring a kind of sleepy and with a smile.. to my little Keel billed Toucan that I did buy from a nice Ngäbe  lady on our way to Bocas del Toro.
Greetings from Terry
