 That is nice to live in mountains, all different levels and micro climats. Last season I did not too much bird watching in Caldera. Not too much request for it and also it was in general great weather higher in the mountains. Most of the time , I go to caldera when it is bad weather in the mountains.
But the birder Paul wanted to go to Caldera....the yellow little flowers were ready , so we saw the shiny Honeycreepers , Hoeray!
