Poems of David "cloudman"

 Bajareque, tears of joy (7-2-2011)
Like an old woman
Fanning herself to relieve the inner heat
Like a baby bird
Taking  a drink of water
Like a lover's sweat
Inhaled by your kiss
State of ecstasy

Pineal gland releasing nectar
From the roof of your mouth
Spreading through body
Healing your every woe
This is why the tree ascends
Steep scarp to incredible heights

This is why so many diverse winged beaks
Array themselves like Christmas balls in a single tree
No need for moisturizer or towelette
Woodsman spare that tree
Or there'd no longer be

MESA

You eat off a tabletop
Peppered by hail
Baked by a scorching sun
Rinsed by rain
Scoured by sand
Sharp enough to shave a beard

Propelled by a whistling wind
Quick enough to lift your spirits
That attractive hostess is a pronghorn
Your waiter is a bald eagle
Serving fresh fish
Your busboy is a roadrunner

The dish cleaner is a turkey vulture
Feast your eyes on this tableau
